How this site is built

This is a 20-day reading curriculum for the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) rotation, written for anesthesiology residents and the trainees who rotate with them. Each day states one claim, names the kind of evidence it rests on, and cites every number to an entry in a source ledger. The ledger entry carries the citation, the design of the study, and a link to the DOI, the PubMed record, or the regulatory or society document it came from.

What the labels mean

Trial based means randomized evidence supports the claim as stated. Consensus only means it does not, and the chip says what the claim rests on instead: physiology, registry data, a guideline, a practice advisory, or expert consensus. That is the common case in perioperative medicine and it is not a failure state. Two further chips say whether the mechanism is settled and whether the clinical claim has survived testing.

DRAFT means the rotation director has not yet cleared the page. Nothing on a draft page should be used clinically. Local practice differs marks a point where institutions do things differently; the page says so rather than asserting one answer.

What is not here

No figures reproduced from any source. No hosted PDFs. No accounts and no saved progress; the quizzes are formative and answers vanish when you leave the page. The 5 algorithm cards on the index are planned and not yet written.

Privacy

The site is static. Cloudflare, which hosts it, collects anonymous, cookie-less page-view counts. Nothing else is collected, and nothing you do on a quiz leaves your browser.
